Attention the items you are bidding are ORIGINAL ca 1900 tiles that belongs to the Art Nouveau Period.
In this store category you can buy tile sets that will be an exquisite fireplace mantel surround. We have combined patterns in a composition that you see in images. The tiles you will recieve will be in individual pieces so you will have to reinstall them. This is an easy task as traditional work is needed, any contractor will do it easily, besides material cuts if needed are easily done to.
In most cases we have additional tiles so if your requirements needs more or less tiles we can accomodate the listing and price to them. Just email us. Also if you want to combine with other tiles you see in my store. No problem to ask, we will return your question with a drawing showing differnt posibilities, so you can better judge.
ITEM DESCRIPTION
STYLE: Art Nouveau
TECHNIQUE: Manufacture: Dust pressed clay tile using a mould & horsehead press, then burned. Decoration: Relief molded majolica finished with colored glazes.
ORIGIN: Belgium
MARKS: Each tile in our store has a characteristic factory background some factories used stamped logos on reverse.
DIMENSIONS (in inches): See in plans. Thickness of biscuit is 0.33 inches aprox.
QUATITY OF TILES: See in plans is detailed.
APPROXIMATE DATE: Between 1890 to 1910
ITEM CONDITION This tile is in very fine condition, no flaws or repairs exist. Cement on reverse was carefully removed so minimal traces are remaining. Surface, as you can see, has a firm color and smooth glaze surface. Only minimal scratches and tiny chips may be seen, but on edges so easily hidden with grouting when reinstalling. Nothing for a more than 100 year old architectural piece.
If you are buying many of them and you want a picture to have a look of the general condition no problem to supply, but image shown is well representative of tiles you will get. I am very careful when selecting the pieces to my clients.
AUTHENTICITY Attention Our tiles are original antiques. For that reason you will get an exclusive product, that will differ a lot with modern reproductions. Neither the high quality enamels are reached by modern industry, nor the biscuit because it is no longer made employing hand operated dust presses .
These tiles have resisted 100 years and will resist 100 years more with superb lively colors only achieved by ancient technique production.

Our antique tiles are part of one of the most impressive refined and varied original antique tile from the 19th & up to 1920 stock that may exist.
The styles of the tiles are the Art Nouveau in its various forms German Jugendstil with its geometric art nouveau. Belgium and France Organic art nouveau, and also the impressive Great Britain production is well represented in our stock. We also have Victorian Edwardian transfer pattern tiles which we grouped in the category aesthetic.

ORIGIN These tiles com from demolition and uninstall in our Uruguayan cities where they were used in great profusion in the early XX century. The economic boom of our cities at the beginning of the century made it possible to use large quantities of rich material that combined with a great expansion of city areas demanding of easiness and fast construction made tiling a perfect finishing material.A subsequent economic decline did preserve these gems because of low pressure over this area of real estate retained by this city many of these homes undisturbed.
CONDITION AND QUANTITIES GENERAL COMMENT As you can see on most item listings there are more than one pieces available. Condition of all others is identical to this shown. Also colors painting etc are the same with minimal imperceptible variations as these items were done in a handcrafted way. If you wish a photo of all those you want together, do not doubt to request it. We will be happy to supply any additional photos.

We sell items per unit or in quantities, but these varies a lot depending on tile pattern. Of some tiles we have a few pieces while of others we have dozens and in some cases up to 300 pieces.
Most of items are ready to buy now so you do not have to wait for deadlines and you can buy multiple pieces at once.

We are responsible in case of damage or lost. Although this seldom happens we will replace lost or damaged tiles.
We are always happy to combine, if you buy less than 4 lbs (that are about 4 tiles of 6x6 inches) then they will be posted via registered mail with tracking and will arrive in about 15/20 days.
For more than 4 lbs shipping method will be via FedEx and it will arrive worldwide in approximately 3 days with realtime online tracking at very convenient prices. For instance 20 tiles will cost $ 88 to use FedEx that means that will cost $ 4.4 per tile!, what is an incredible price for such service. To other part of the globe prices will be a bit more .. 10% more to Europe for instance. You have the shipping cost label at the listing or you can email us that we will supply the cost of shipping.
